BOSTON (AP) – Linebacker Dont’a Hightower says he’s opting out of the 2020 season, highlighting a list of several Patriots who will sit out because of health concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic. A person familiar with the situation says safety Patrick Chung has also elected not to play. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the Patriots have not announced the decisions. They join tackle Marcus Cannon, running back Brandon Bolden and fullback Danny Vitale. For a team remaking itself after Tom Brady’s departure, it has added another complication to those efforts heading into the 2020 season.
