Foxwoods to lift mask mandate for vaccinated guests starting Saturday

MASHANTUCKET, Conn. (WLNE)- Foxwoods Resort and Casino will no longer require vaccinated guests to wear a mask starting on Saturday night.

Those who have not been fully vaccinated will still be required to wear a face covering, according to President and CEO of Foxwoods Jason Guyot.

Workers will still be required to wear masks even if they have been fully vaccinated. However, Foxwoods is looking to update that rule in the near future.

The venue put these guidelines in place after considering recommendations by the CDC, state of Connecticut, and the Mashantucket Pequot Chief Medical Officer.

We feel optimistic about this being a major step to restoring a sense of normalcy ahead of the summer, where so many of us are eager to safely get back to the experiences we enjoy,” said Guyot.
