Franklin Police searching for bank robbery suspect

FRANKLIN, Mass. (WLNE) – Police are investigating after a bank was robbed Thursday evening in Franklin.
Police said that around 6:45 p.m. Thursday, a male suspect entered the Digital Federal Credit Union on West Central Street and passed a note to the teller demanding money. No weapon was shown.
The suspect exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. He has not been apprehended at this time.
Franklin Police Detectives are investigating on scene, and police and K-9 officers are searching the nearby area. There is not believed to be any threat to the public.
