Free food available for New Bedford residents

NEW BEDFORD, MASS (WLNE) – The New Bedford Police Department is helping provide free food boxes to New Bedford residents.

The department is partnering with the Massachusetts Military Foundation (MMSF) and New Life Church in this effort.

Each Farmer’s to Families food box contains 32 pounds of perishable and nonperishable food items, including fresh fruit, vegetables, dairy, and meat products.

The boxes are available to residents on the following dates:

  • February 13
  • February 20
  • February 27
  • March 6

Boxes can be picked up at the New Life Church on Cove Road from 10 AM-12 PM with registration.
