Friday flood threat before a nice weekend

All good things must come to an end, right?

It has been a gorgeous beginning to August, but the nice stretch will come to a halt tomorrow – at least temporarily.

Clouds move in tonight and it will be noticeably warmer and a more muggy too.

The daylight hours of Friday don’t look bad at all – just a spot shower here and there. It’s Friday evening that I’m concerned about.

A line of drenching storms will move through between the hours of 7p and midnight, slowly dropping from north to south across the area.

While the severe weather threat (hail, damaging winds) is well north and west of our area, there is a minor flash flood risk.

Skies will clear by Saturday morning, and we are looking at a great weekend – mostly sunny and warm with lower humidity.

Have a great night!
