Friends and family say their final goodbyes to Providence teenager

Daniel Carrascoza

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Over the past week, the community has come together to raise money for the family of Daniel Carrascoza, after the 14-year-old drowned while fishing at Beavertail State Park last weekend.

This afternoon, family, friends, and mentors will celebrate his life, and say their final goodbyes.

The family has requested that those attending this funeral service wear white shirts, in Daniel’s honor.

The Carrascoza family is originally from Guatemala, making Providence their home when Daniel was young. Daniel was a middle school student in Providence.
