PROVIDENCE – Cranston Mayor Allan Fung opened a second campaign headquarters in Providence for his gubernatorial run.

Fung, a South Providence native, said his campaign plans for the capitol city to be an important part of the economic engine of our state. Fung said he and the state GOP has not forgotten about the Providence community. “We’re going to be there as a partner building back up the economy and getting everyone back to work,” he told ABC6.

This is the first time in recent memory that a Republican gubernatorial candidate has set up campaign headquarters in Providence, according to Fung.
