PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Gas prices are up three cents from last week Rhode Island. The current average for regular gasoline in the state is $2.13 per gallon.

Today’s price is 63 cents cheaper than on this date in 2019, when the price of regular gasoline was $2.75.

The state is seeing gas prices 8 cents below the national average.

The price of gas today is 9 cents higher than one month ago when we were averaging $2.04 per gallon.

“The Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) data shows gasoline demand and supply continue on a roller coaster ride,” said Lloyd Albert, AAA Northeast Senior Vice President of Public and Government Affairs. “As motorists react to unfolding COVID-19 information, we are seeing driving behaviors related to filling-up ebb and flow.”
