Gillette Stadium vaccination site to close Monday

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE)- The mass vaccination site at Gillette Stadium is set to close Monday after five months of service.

With Massachusetts switching over to a more targeted approach, the state will be closing all of its mass vaccination sites in the next few weeks.

By the end of June sites at the Hynes Convention Center, the Reggie Lewis Center, the Natick Mall, and the Double Tree in Danvers.

Sites at the Eastfield Mall in Springfield and the former Circuit City in Dartmouth will be closing in July.

The site at Gillette Stadium has given a total of 610,000 shots, enough to fill the stadium over 10 times.
