Glocester couple charged with second-degree child abuse

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Attorney General Peter Neronha announced today that a couple from Glocester was charged with child abuse after their arrests in January.

Court documents said back in January of this year, 37-year-old Jeremy Wright and 42-year-old Xiomary Wright were charged with one count of second-degree child abuse, each.

Officials said criminal information alleges both Jeremy and Xiomary physically abused a child under the age of 18.

The Glocester Police Department conducted the investigation into the matter.

Both co-defendants are scheduled for a pre-arraignment conference in June of this year.
