GLOCESTER, R.I. (WLNE) – Police arrested a Glocester man Friday for starting multiple fires at the same address almost two years apart.

Steven Foster, 44, was arrested around 4:00 p.m. Friday following an investigation by Glocester Police and the State Fire Marshall into the cause of a suspicious fire at 31 Wilmarth Road on May 4th.

As a result of the investigation, authorities determined that Foster was involved in the fire, which destroyed an unattached garage at the address as well as its contents.

In addition, Police said Foster was also charged in connection with a fire at the same address in 2017. That fire also destroyed a garage.

Foster was charged with two counts of 2nd Degree Arson. He was released on $5,000 bail and will be required to appear back in court at a later date.
