Gov. McKee extends state of emergency after surge in Delta Variant cases

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Gov. Dan McKee extended Rhode Island’s state of emergency until August 6, after a surge in Delta Variant cases within the state.

The original state of emergency was signed by former Gov. Gina Raimondo on March 9, 2020.

McKee signed the extension on Thursday.
