Gov. McKee, RIDOH announce new vaccination appointments Tuesday morning

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Gov. Dan McKee and the Rhode Island Department of Health announced Monday that 5,500 new vaccination appointments will be available Tuesday morning.

Those looking to make an appointment can do so on the state’s website starting at 9 a.m.

Gov. McKee also announced that anyone that is 16 years or older living in the hardest hit communities across Providence, Cranston, and North Providence as well as all of Pawtucket and Central Falls will be eligible to be vaccinated.

Rhode Islanders age 16 or older from the following area codes will be eligible for shots: 02860, 02861, 02863, 02904, 02905, 02907, 02908, and 02909.

Gov. McKee said that it’s been his goal to get more vaccinations out there ever since he took office.

“I’m pleased that our supply from the Federal government continues to increase and I encourage all Rhode Islanders to sign up for their shot as soon as they are eligible,” he continued.
