Gov. Raimondo in quarantine after close contact with a positive COVID-19 case
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – A spokesperson for Governor Gina Raimondo announced on Monday that Raimondo is quarantining after coming into close contact with someone who tested positive.
A spokesperson for the Governor stated the following:
“Governor Raimondo was informed that she had a close contact last week who tested positive. She has been in quarantine and has tested negative repeatedly, including earlier today. She will be out of quarantine on Thursday and will continue working from home until that time.”
Raimondo’s weekly coronavirus briefing previously scheduled for Thursday will now be moved to Friday, January 8th at 1 p.m.
