Twin River likely to reopen June 8 or 15, Raimondo says

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – Gov. Gina Raimondo said in her daily COVID-19 briefing Thursday that she expects the Rhode Island Twin River Casinos to reopen sometime in June.

She said the casinos could reopen as early as June 8 but it depends on how ready the casino is. She gave June 15 as another possible reopening date.

Raimondo added that she’ll have a date to announce on Friday.

Mohegan and Foxwoods Casinos are set to reopen in Connecticut on June 1.

Rhode Island’s Twin River Casinos in Tiverton and Lincoln have been closed since March.
