Governor’s Office staff member in quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- A staff member of the Governor’s Office is in quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19, a spokesperson said Sunday.

The staff member is currently working from home until the end of their quarantine period, according to the spokesperson.

One additional member of the Governor’s staff was identified as a close contact, and is currently in quarantine as a precaution. The Governor’s Office said the Department of Health has been contacted to immediately conduct contact tracing.
