PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) —  A grand jury indicted a man accused of stabbing a woman to death last year in Charlestown.

Attorney General Peter Nerohna said Wednesday that the grand jury charged Alex Rolin with one count of murder and one count of possession of a knife while committing a crime of violence.

In September 2022, Rolin, who’s 26 years old, allegedly killed 45-year-old Grya Pihlkrant in her bed with a hunting knife.

At the Rhode Island State Police Hope Valley Barracks, Rolin “eventually admitted to stabbing Ms. Pihlkrant with the black Buck knife and the description he gave was consistent with the suspected murder weapon.”

The 26-year-old is scheduled to be arraigned this month in Washington County Superior Court.
