Great Holy Ghost Feast to return to Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Great Feast of the Holy Ghost will return to Fall River next week.
Organizers say its one of the largest Azorean celebrations in the world. The annual tradition at Kennedy Park started in 1986.
Fall River police warned residents that some streets will close Thursday to Sunday amid the celebration.
The department said the following streets will be closed to traffic:
Thursday, Aug. 24 — Bradford Avenue and Middle Street, between South Main Street and Broadway, 5:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 25 — Bradford Avenue and Middle Street, between South Main Street and Broadway, 5:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 26 — Bradford Avenue and Middle Street, between South Main and Broadway, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 27 — Bradford Avenue and Middle Street, between South Main and Broadway, 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Police will give special parking permits to those who live near Kennedy Park.
Drivers should expect pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the area.
