Gusty winds and frigid temperatures in the coming days

A few showers around today, another storm Monday

Overcast and mild this morning with temperatures in the 30s to start the day. Today will stay overcast with some scattered showers, especially for coastal locations as the day goes on. A storm that is well offshore will bring gusty winds to the area today. A WIND ADVISORY for most with gusts from the north over 40MPH at times, a HIGH WIND WARNING for the Cape/Islands where gusts may be closer to 60MPH.

We clear out overnight and dangerous cold rushes in. A WIND CHILL ADVISORY for inland spots where chills may be down into the negative teens! Saturday stays bitter cold and windy. Highs will only be in the teens and feel-like temperatures hover around 0° all day. Expect sunshine through the day and clear conditions overnight. Less wind overnight into Sunday but still very cold with lows back down into the single digits. Sunday starts with sunshine then clouds roll in later in the day. Highs will be around 30°.

Overnight Sunday into Monday morning our next storm system approaches. Some snow and sleet expected to move in for the early morning hours, especially inland but from there temperatures will climb into the 40s and this looks like a mainly rain event for us. Heavy rain and gusty winds expected for the majority of the day on Monday. As the storm pulls away late Monday, a few snow showers may be possible on the back side.

We clear out into Tuesday but it stays breezy. Highs will be in the mid 30s.
