Hasbro Inc. spreads joy to local children

PAWTUCKET, R.I. — Employees at Hasbro are wearing their elf hats today participated in the Pawtucket based Toy Company’s annual global day of joy.

Over a thousand workers are volunteering throughout the state and across the globe Thursday.

They have donated 40,000 toys and games going to dozens of local charities Thursday morning. The workers turned their offices into a virtual North Pole workshop.

“It’s one of those days you realize what its all about for us. Our mission and our purpose as a company is to make the world a better place for children and their families and this is one of the ways that we do that,” said John Frascotti.

Later today, they employees will be delivering toys to public schools in Pawtucket, Central Falls, and Providence, which helping at least 20 thousand elementary school kids.
