PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The long awaited, first ever HASCON is happening this weekend.  Crews are hard at work, gearing up for the big event.

It’s 3 days of toys, games, and all things Hasbro.  Hasbro is the maker of some big brands like Transformers, My Little Pony, Nerf, and Play–Doh.

Hasbro Spokesperson Jane Ritson-Parsons says, “We’re bringing our chief story tellers, our designers, our innovators, just to really share the little sneak peek behind the scenes of what we do.”

Some of their partner brands, like Sesame Street, will be there too.  They’re also bringing in plenty of famous faces.

Ritson-Parsons says, “[Mark] Wahlberg will be in town. We’re also joined by David Ortiz. We also have the amazing Stan Lee, the creator of Marvel Studios. We have James Gunn, the writer/director of Guardians of the Galaxy I and II. And, we’ve also got some concert celebrities too.”

Those concert celebrities include Flo Rida and Daya.

The transformation at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center and the Rhode Island Convention Center was caught on time lapse video.

Ritson-Parsons says, “What we are doing is that we are creating worlds for our brands. So, you’ll be able to get “ponified” in the My Little Pony world. You’ll be able to go into the largest Nerf arena ever, try out all the new Blasters.”

It all happens this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center and the Rhode Island Convention Center.
