Head-on crash blocks intersection in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The New Bedford Police Department said two cars crashed head-on Sunday night.

ABC6 News crews were on-scene at the intersection of Acushnet Avenue and Tarkiln Hill Road where a Chrysler minivan and a Honda CR-V were seen stopped in the street.

Both vehicles sustained damage to their front-sides and the airbags inside the Honda were deployed

New Bedford police said nobody was seriously injured in the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
