Healey thanks Swift for bringing ‘Enchanted’ performances to Foxborough on 1st day of concert weekend

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — Thousands of Swifties are getting their glitter ready for the “Eras Tour” at Gillette Stadium on Friday.

Massachusetts knows “All Too Well” the town of Foxborough will soon turn into full Taylor Swift mania.

Gov. Maura Healey formally announced her appreciation for Swift, thanking her for bringing her “Enchanted” performances to Gillette for three nights.

“We’ll welcome you back forever and always,” Healey said. “Thank you for making our Commonwealth shimmer.”

Over 200,000 Swifties are expected to come to the shows. ABC 6 News put together a rundown for what fans can expect.

Parking opens at 2:30 p.m. for ticketholders. Any Swifties who still don’t have tickets are asked not to come to the venue.

Many fans already looped around the parking lot on Thursday, hoping to get their hands on exclusive merchandise.

The stadium itself has also shown its love for Taylor, changing its Twitter page to reflect her lucky number, 13, and changing its bio to “The official Twitter account for Gillette Stadium, home of Taylor Swift’s first NFL stadium show.”

Gillette said the upcoming summer of concerts will be record-breaking.

Concerts at Gillette have a “Reputation” for traffic woes, so fans are advised to allow themselves plenty of time on the road.

Doors open for the show at 6:30 p.m.
