Health & Human Efficiency Commission meet-up this Thursday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) –  The Special Legislative Commission to Review and Make Recommendations Regarding the Efficient and Effective Administration of Health and Human Services Programs in the State of Rhode Island will be holding a meeting about behavioral health services this Thursday, December 16.

The meeting will be located on the third floor of the State House in Room 313 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The meeting will feature presentations on behavioral health by representatives of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, the Department of Children, Youth and Families and the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals.

VICTA CEO Alexander Donoyan and COO Lisa Peterson will give a presentation on the delivery of behavioral health services to adults. The final presentation will be given by Community Care Alliance President and CEO Benedict F. Lessing Jr. and Community Care Alliance Vice President, Family Well-Being and Permanency, Bridget Bennett.

Public testimony will be allowed.

The meeting will be streamed live here, and on Capitol Television, which is visible on Cox channels 15 and 61, on Full Channel on channel 15, and Channel 34 for Verizon viewers.
