Heat Wave Possible This Week

After an amazing Southern New England summer weekend, the humidity will return this week. We will also see temperatures climb this week with a possibility of a heat wave. Monday and Tuesday will be mainly sunny and seasonable with highs in the mid-80s. Both days will be a little muggy. Tuesday we’ll see a warm front come through with a slight chance of showers and even a spot thunderstorm. Wednesday the heat and humidity pour into Southern New England. High temperatures will approach 90 Wednesday and with the higher humidity, it will likely feel as hot as the mid-90s. As the temperatures likely top 90 Thursday and Friday, and with the high humidity in place, it could feel close to 100 degrees. Another thing to consider, if we do indeed hit 90 Wednesday, we will likely have a heat wave on our hands too.
