Heavy Rainfall Overnight & Thursday Morning

Heavy rain overnight. A few thunderstorms possible. Showers arrive this evening, but the heaviest rainfall between 11 P.M. and 9 A.M. Rain will taper off to lingering showers for the remainder of the day Thursday.

With the anticipated heavy rainfall, A FLASH FLOOD WATCH has been issued for Rhode Island and parts of SE MA from 8 P.M. this evening through 11 A.M. Thursday morning.

Expected rainfall of 1-3″ for the area.

A watch means conditions are favorable or flash flooding is possible through early tomorrow morning.

Weekend looks good. More humid and warm. After a dry Friday and Saturday, an isolated t-storm Sunday afternoon possible. Not widespread coverage Sunday with rain. Mid to upper 80s during the day, mid to upper 60s at night.
