Heavy smoke seen coming from Fall River restaurant

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Firefighters in Fall River were seen tackling heavy smoke coming from the top of restaurant on South Main Street Tuesday evening.

ABC 6 News Crews were on the scene just before 6 p.m., where multiple fire engines, ambulances and police cruisers could be seen staging around the Marisqueira Azores Restaurant.

Firefighters were seen atop the roof of the business and running lines inside. Fire officials also broke through a nearby fence to help supply water to the affected eatery.

No information regarding the cause of the fire or any injuries was immediately available.
