CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The heavy rains from earlier this week has caused damaged to the newly renovated Historic Park Theatre in Cranston.

Owner Ed Brady said the theatre incurred damage after the roof’s drainage system had a massive backup which led to damage inside the theater.

As a result, Brady said some upcoming performances will have to be postponed.

“Our team will be taking it day by day and working as fast as we can to get our main theatre space ready again for our community,” Brady wrote in a Facebook post.

While the theatre is closed for repair, Brady said the The Park Place Cafe, The Comedy Park and The Rolfe Supper Club will remain open.
