Hold on to your hat; it will be breezy this afternoon

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) —

Another warm, dry day for us with relative humidity levels dipping fairly low (20%) by mid-afternoon. Couple that with hefty wind gust up to 30mph and we now have a fire weather warning (Red Flag Warning) from 10am to 7pm today.  Expect low humidity levels this afternoon.

Clouds increase this evening after we reach our peak temps in the low 70’s for inland areas; coastal, 60’s.

Tomorrow a little bit cooler topping out in the upper 60’s/70 degrees for our high on Wednesday.

Thursday and Friday temps reach the 80 degree mark and we could possible break some records.

For the weekend, our temperatures drop slightly, but we are still coming in above average for our daytime highs. The next system we are watching is moving in off the coast of the Pacific Northwest and that could bring us some rain by Monday.

Grab the tissues and keep the allergy meds on hand – you will need it with the tree allergies on the rise. Poplar, alder, and juniper are our biggest triggers for the week.
