Homeless Tortoise Adopted After Owner Dies of COVID-19

She had over 3,000 would be adopters, making her one popular reptile

BOSTON, MASS (WLNE) – Ms. Jennifer, the Tortoise who was left without a home after the owner died of COVD-19 has been adopted!

53-year-old Ms. Jennifer was brought to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) in Boston, following her owner’s passing.

The MSPCA said they received over 3,000 calls about Ms. Jennifer and was one of the most popular animals they have ever housed.

According to the MSPCA, Ms. Jennifer is on her way to a fantastic home with a “bona fide turtle expert.”
