Hope Street Spring Block Party delayed to August

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Due to inclement weather, the annual Hope Street Spring Block Party in Providence has been delayed to Aug. 6.
The event, organized by the Hope Street Merchants Association and local event producers Ampersand Creative Company, was set to be the first one held since 2019.
“Above all else, Ampersand Creative Co. and the Hope Street Merchants Association exist to help other small businesses, artists, and performers. Our goals are to ensure that vendors and entertainers have a safe, fun, successful, and engaging weekend,” B.J. Mansuetti of Ampersand said. “With the weather calling for heavy rain and winds, these goals could not be met.”
The event was set to include over 135 small business pop-ups, a live music stage, and local food trucks, among other venues.
It has been renamed the Hope Street Summer Block party, and more information will be released closer to the event date, Mansuetti said.
