Hot Again Monday, Air Quality Concerns
A Heat Advisory has been issued for Monday and Tuesday, with hot temperatures and a touch of humidity combining to make it feel like it’s between 98 and 103 degrees.
An Air Quality Alert has been issued for RI and SE MA on Monday. Often in hot weather, pollution levels can become elevated. Ground level ozone is expected to be elevated, which can cause problems for people with breathing issues.
Sunday Night: Warm and a bit muggy with patchy fog.
Monday: It looks like Monday will be day 3 of this 4-day heat wave, and it’s likely the hottest day of the stretch. Look for sunny skies and a touch of humidity with the high temperatures away from the coast well into the 90s to near 100 degrees, and a heat index in the low 100s.
Tuesday: Hot again with developing afternoon clouds and a late chance of thunderstorms along a cold front.
Wednesday: Early showers then lowering humidity.
Thursday-Sunday: A very pleasant stretch with sunshine and lower humidity.
