PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The House Labor Committee will meet to vote on two wage bills on Thursday.

The committee is expected to vote on H5371 and H5595 shortly after 4:30 p.m. at the Rhode Island State House.

Rep. Leonela Felix (D- 61, Pawtucket) sponsors H5371, which would allow people employed in domestic service at a private home to be included as an employee for minimum wage laws.

H5595, sponsored by House Majority Floor Manager John Edwards (D- 70, Tiverton), would require offsite fabrication work for public works projects to be subject to average wage requirements.
