Humidity ramping up Sunday into Monday, watching Ida remnants midweek

On Sunday, we’ll see a mix of sun and clouds while temperatures remain more seasonable.  Humidity will start to increase Sunday.  Monday, we’re back to summer warmth and humidity.  An approaching cold front will touch off a chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially late in the day.  Once that front moves through, we’re still warm but with lower humidity levels for Tuesday under sunny skies.

Wednesday into Thursday, we’ll have to keep an eye out for the remnants of Hurricane Ida.  Once the storm makes landfall along the Gulf Coast on Sunday, it will begin to weaken.  Moisture from the weakened storm could play a role in our forecast for that Wednesday/Thursday time frame, which could lead to widespread heavy rainfall.  Stay with ABC6 for updates to the forecast.
