Incident that prompted police presence in East Providence resolved peacefully

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — East Providence police said an incident that kept officers outside a home for hours on Friday morning ended peacefully.

Police said they investigated a call for service at the 1800 block of Pawtucket Avenue.

The department said there was no threat to the public.

No further information on the incident was released.
