Infant head and neck supports recalled due to suffocation concerns

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, a head and neck support designed for infants has been recalled due to possible suffocation concerns.

The CPSC announced Tuesday that a Head and Neck support produced by Colorado-based The Boppy Company, has been recalled after the firm received multiple reports of babies’ heads being pushed forward toward their chest while using the product.

No injuries have been reported in connection with the recall. 

The product comes in two styles: Ebony Floral and Heathered Gray with model numbers 4150114 and 4150117. The model number can be found on a label attached to the head support.

The recalled product was available nationwide at Target, Buy Buy Baby and other juvenile product stores. It was also available online at Amazon.com from March 2019 until May 2019.
