Issues with water system forces closure of Westport schools
WESTPORT, Mass. (WLNE) — The Westport School District announced that students attending elementary, middle and high school do not have school Tuesday.
According to officials, issues with the water systems at the Middle-High School and Elementary school are the reason for the closure.
Kindergarten screenings at the Macomber School will be held as scheduled.
In a post to social media, the school department said in part, “We apologize for the inconvenience that this unexpected No School Day may cause and will provide information about the situation as it unfolds.”
There will also be no before or after-school activities on Tuesday.
