‘It’s terrifying’: Crash into Woonsocket home wakes up neighbors
WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A car crashed into a Woonsocket home on Thursday morning.
Police said the driver lost control coming around a corner around 4:30 a.m.
They took down a fence and sign at a memorial on South Main Street before crashing into a multi-family home.

Police said the driver was the only person in the car. They were conscious and alert and brought to Rhode Island Hospital.
The crash blocked part of the street and woke up the neighbors.
“It’s terrifying, it could have been us,” a neighbor told ABC 6.
“It could have been in their house, it could have hurt somebody, so it’s definitely scary, hopefully the driver is going to be OK,” she said.
Residents said speeding is an issue in the neighborhood.
The car was towed just before 5:30 a.m.
It was not immediately known what led up to the crash.
