Jamestown fire that displaced family of 5 caused by lightning strike

JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — A house fire in Jamestown was caused by a lightning strike, according to authorities.
The fire happened just before 3:30 a.m. Tuesday on Holmstead Court.
No injuries were reported.
Interim Police Chief Angela Deneault said the home suffered heavy water and smoke damage.
The house is uninhabitable. A family of five is being assisted by the Red Cross.
