Jesus statue in Massachusetts vandalized

WALTHAM, Mass. (WLNE) – An investigation is underway in Waltham, Massachusetts after the head and hand of a Jesus statue were removed in town.

It happened at the St. Charles Chapel’s Sacred Heart of Jesus Statue on Hall Street.

Police still don’t know if the damage was accidental or intentional.

Neighbors did report hearing a commotion in the area on Saturday.

As of Thursday, no one has claimed responsibility.

A mason will try to re-attach the head and hand of the statue.
