Joe Powers named RIGOP Chair

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Joe Powers was named the Chair of the Ocean State’s GOP.

Powers announced his bid for candidacy back in February.

According to his biography, he was born and raised in Cranston where he still lives with his wife and their four children.

Powers said he served four years in the United States Coast guard where he worked with departments including the DEA Drug Intervention team and Border Security.

His bio said he has over 20 years of leadership experience in major companies as well as real estate.
