Johnston Police: Man arrested after pursuit in stolen car

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE)- A police pursuit ended in an arrest Monday afternoon.
Johnston Police say they arrested 40-year-old Raymond Grundy, who was driving a stolen vehicle before leading police on a chase. Police told ABC6 Grundy was driving with a suspended license and had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.
One warrant was for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and the other was for shoplifting.
Grundy is being charged with the following:
- Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle
- Eluding a Police Officer
- Reckless Driving
- Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Johnston Police say Grundy also faces other moving motor vehicle violations.
According to police, a female in the stolen vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after they struck another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle was not injured.
