Johnston police seeking public assistance finding suspect

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE)- The Johnston Police Department shared on their official Facebook page that they are seeking public help in finding a suspect wanted for a recent larceny attempt.

The suspect, Derrick Eugene Jemison, 24, is believed to have attempted to gain entry into unoccupied vehicles on December 7. The attempted break-ins took place in a residential area near Plainfield Street. Johnston Police identified Jemison through video surveillance.

Records show Jemison has been previously arrested several times for similar attempts in West Warwick.
