Johnston teen dies in gun accident, police investigating

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE)- A teenage boy died late on Saturday night from a gunshot wound that he suffered in a gun accident, according to the Johnston Police Department.

The department said that the 15-year-old died at the home on Cedar Street.

Investigators said that those involved in the accident are fully cooperating with the department’s investigation.

There is no indication that the death was a suicide, according to police.

No one has been charged as of 12:10 p.m.
