A woman has been indicted for murder in the killing of her girlfriend in her apartment on Quarry Street in early December.

Providence Police say Sendra J. Beauregard, 42, of Johnston, is accused of murdering her girlfriend 50-year-old Pamela R. Donahue. She was indicted on the charges of murder and discharge of a firearm while in the commission of a crime of violence resulting in death.

On December 2nd, police responded to the scene of a possible overdose. Once there, Donahue’s roommate told police that both women were inside when he left to go to the convenience store to buy cigarettes.

The roommate told police that when he returned home, Donahue was lying on the ground alone and unresponsive. He said there was a needle and a bag, possibly heroin, next to her.

When emergency personnel were transporting Donahue, they found a gunshot wound in her chest.

The roommate told police Beauregard and Donahue had been fighting for several months.

Beauregard is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on March 24, 2015.
