Juneteenth vendor market to return to New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The community can honor Juneteenth at the third annual Buy Black NB vendor market.
The market will be held on Saturday, June 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rotch-Jones-Duff House and Garden Museum in New Bedford.
“What people can expect is lots of handmade and local goods for shopping with some returning and some new vendors, live music, food trucks and more of what our guests tell us they love,” said Justina Perry, founder and director of Buy Black NB. “We create a space highlighting Black culture, Black entrepreneurship, Black leadership. It is stunning and makes me really proud to see.”
Those interested can reserve a spot in advance. People are asked not to bring their dogs.
So far, 22 vendors and three food trucks have signed up to sell their products in correlation with the holiday.
Buy Black NB serves Black-owned businesses across the South Coast of Massachusetts. It was first created in June 2020.
