Juvenile shot in leg in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — New Bedford police said Friday a juvenile was shot in the leg.

Police said they responded to a call at about 11 p.m. Thursday for a disturbance in the Blue Meadows Housing Development.

When officers arrived, they found a car damaged by bullets.

Lt. Scott Carola said officers learned shortly after that there was a juvenile with a gunshot injury to the leg that arrived at St. Luke’s Hospital.

No further information was immediately released.
