K-9 officer helps track down suspects accused of stealing car

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — North Kingstown police said that a K-9 officer helped to track down suspects that are accused of stealing a car Tuesday night.

Police said a patrolling sergeant spotted a car that was reported stolen earlier that night. The driver refused to stop and took off.

Officers were able to chase the vehicle to a dead end, at which point the occupants took off on foot.

K-9 Astor and his handler responded to the scene and were able to track down the suspects hiding in a bush.
