Kemba Walker to wear sneakers for a special cause Sunday against Miami

Kemba Sneakers

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE)- Boston Celtics starting point guard Kemba Walker will be wearing some special sneakers for Sunday’s big match up against the Miami Heat.

Walker’s shoes will feature designs inspired by some of his favorite local businesses, including Mobar Cuts, The Urban Grape, Zaz and Murl’s Kitchen, in honor of National Small Business Week.

He will autograph the shoes after the game and donate them to an auction where the proceeds will go towards Vistaprint’s Power Forward Small Business Grant program.

The auction will also include a one-of-one Panini trading card that will also be signed by the Celtic guard.

The auction will be held on the “I Got It” mobile app starting on Sunday at 9 a.m. and will run until Wednesday at 11:59 p.m.

“It’s clear Vistaprint is committed to leaving its imprint in the Boston and greater New England communities and I am excited to team up with them for this capsule collection which will support Black-owned small businesses,” said Walker.
