Kennedy Plaza to reopen Saturday after renovations

Final construction and clean-up are under way today as the renovated Kennedy Plaza re-opens Saturday morning in Downtown Providence.

There will be new bus shelters, different stop locations, and new time schedules for many RIPTA routes.

The completion means many RIPTA buses will be returning from distant, outlying stops.

All of the confusion ends Saturday morning when the new, permanent RIPTA stops are in place.
